Location: Hybrid remote in Kelowna, BC
Job Type: Full-time, Salary: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with all aspects of installation, implementations and service of telephony services and peripheral devices
  • Complete Service Orders in company operations software
  • Remote and on-site network systems diagnosis
  • Evaluate current client solutions, and identify opportunities for upgrades and updates
  • Conduct routine network tests for speed and quality
  • Perform cabling installation and/or repair work
  • Network cabling and terminating
  • Installation, service, and support on a wide variety of telecommunication systems. Primary focus on NEC IP/PBX telephone systems
  • VOIP telephones
    • Examples (but not limited to); Navigata hosted PBX, Univerge Blue and Shaw Smart Voice
  • PRI and SIP trunk knowledge
  • 24/7 on call, on a weekly rotational basis

Requested Skills and Experience

  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Highly comfortable in interacting with others, of varying personalities, on the phone and in-person
  • Adaptable and open to priority changes
  • Calm and collected disposition
  • NEC certification or minimum 1 year field experience required
  • Panasonic certification is an asset
  • VoIP knowledge an asset
  • Voice/Data cabling an asset
  • Willing and able to work regular office hours plus join rotating on-call schedule
  • Basic IT knowledge an asset (i.e. Routers, switches, networks)
  • At least 1 year experience installing pbx systems. Less than 1 year experience need not apply.

Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Employment includes extended Employee Health Benefits Package .
